Google To Bring Android On Desktop?

It has been observed that both the mobile and desktop computing worlds are gradually converging.

Saturday, February 25, 2012:  It seems that Google has plans to bring forward Android operating system onto the desktop. According to a recent patent filing discovered by Patently Apple, it has been revealed that Google may be eyeing the desktop and notebook markets for its Linux-based Android.
Jack Purcher of Patently Apple mentioned in a special report that Android has now geared up for the desktop. And, the reports laid out Google's specific work on trackpad operations corresponding to touchscreen events. It seems that the patent is focusing on similar features as found in Apple's Multi-Touch Trackpad and Magic Trackpad.

He also pointed out that Google is working on the Android for x86 project. Also, it has been observed that both the mobile and desktop computing worlds are gradually converging. Owing to this, operating systems are rapidly taking a multiscreen approach. One such instance has already been seen with Windows 8 and its Metro interface.
